Nigeria have been removed from the list of countries that can enter the Republic of Turkey e-visa.
The e-visa allows Nigerians who have Schengen/UK/US visa to visit the country without visiting the republic’s consulate.
This is following the frequent & incessant attacks around the country. It is feared that alleged fleeing terror inmates may obtain these supporting visas and could have entry using the e-visa program. The Nigerian prisons service reported that about 900 inmates fled the facility but have made a fraction of rearrests and still missing out on over 60 suspected Boko haram kingpins who where in detention.
Nonetheless, Nigeria have been removed from list of countries whose citizens can enter the republic of Turkey using e-visa if they have supporting visas. The delisting of Nigeria was done without prior information from the Turkish mission in Nigeria. Nigerians with USA, EU, UK and other Turkey e-visa supporting visas are not eligible for entry into the country for now except they have non-Nigerian passports

There’s currently no press release or update on this development from any concerned body at the time of this report, as more enraged Nigerians seek the comments of the Nigerian foreign minister on this matter.
