Ambassador Hidayet Bayraktar pays Edo State Governor, Oba of Benin courtesy visit
Make contacts with state officials and traditional rulers in Benin City.
Ambassador Bayraktar met with Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki. Both parties exchanged ideas on possible steps to be taken to strengthen relations between Turkey and Edo State in the fields of possible cooperation such as trade, manufacturing, health, culture and tourism.
Ambassador Bayraktar also visited Eheneden Erediauwa the Oba Ewuare II of Benin, Oba Ewuare II is the traditional ruler of the historical Benin Kingdom, one of the oldest and most advanced civilization hotspot in West Africa. Oba Ewuare II was also a diplomat, A former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Angola, Italy and Sweden.
The Oba Ewuare II of Benin kingdom and the governor of the state will definitely be aware of the agelong migration prowess of Edo youths. Indigenes of Edo undoubtedly flock the cities of Turkey and would anticipate that this September 23, 2022 visit brings about positive impact to their welfare.
The Turkey diplomat has consistently forged great diplomatic relationship with Nigerian leaders including the Senate President Ahmed Lawan and the Speaker House of Representative.
